Ellis Beach offers a stunning location for conferences, weddings and outdoor events. Situated just 25km north of Cairns city central Ellis Beach offers a beautiful ocean view with sounds of the white surf, a clean sandy beach and green lawn area where native trees and tropical palms provide shade from the sun. A wide ocean view with Double Island / Scout Hat Island towards the horizon offer a truly scenic setting. If you plan your event to last into the evening check to see when a full moon is due as this will casts enough light to make for a romantic setting. If you time things just right you could be lucky enough to see a full moon reflecting off the ocean, which is quite a remarkable sight.  At night there are almost no sounds other than from birds or insects and no light from urban life except for twinkling lights where Cairns lies in the distance.

The tropical climate in Cairns generates great demand for outdoor events and Ellis Beach can offer just that. The open air, unobstructed ocean view and tropical beach make for a unique venue. For ceremonies on the beach, the large shaded area on the lawn is a a popular area for guests to socialise in between the ceremony and the reception.

For events involving more than 60 guests, special arrangements can be made with regards to venue hire.

There is no accommodation to stay overnight at the venue itself, but accomodation in close vicinity of the venue is available and can be catered for.
