Saturday Dinghy Racing
The CYC conducts dinghy racing using its own Puffin Pacers on Saturday afternoons. Rigging and registration begins at 12.30pm racing starts at 2.00pm with 3 races finishing around 4.00pm at a cost of $5.00 per member and $10.00 non members.

On the 15 of March we will host a Team Racing challenge at Cairns Yacht Club. We have around $1000 dollars in prizes donated to the club for the day.
Team Racing - 15 March
Cost - $60 per team
Rigging starts at 10am
Briefing is at - 10:30am
Racing begins at - 11pm
A BBQ will be cooked after racing finishes(around 4:30-5pm) that is included in the nomination fee.
Pacer Dinghy's will be supplied by the CYC
Also on the weekend of the 29 & 30 of March, we are celebrating 100 years of sailing in Cairns. On Saturday we will have an around Admiralty Island race, which we would like to invite Cats and Dinghy's to participate in. Saturday night we are hosting a beach party and BBQ under the veranda of the Club with fun and games. Then on Sunday we will have Team Racing in front of the Club house. Ending the day with a presentation, and BBQ on the veranda.
For the Easter long weekend (22, 23 & 24 of March), we will have a regatta at the CYC Club house at Ellis Beach. This includes 3 days of sailing and camping. Again all Cats & Dinghy's invited with plenty of room for all.
